April Newsletter

Justin and Angie Arender-Missionaries to the Philippines

Pastor and Churches,

It seems like we are getting settled on in. The month of April we have had 6 more professions of faith as we have gone out soul winning. That makes 14 altogether that we have had since we have been here since March. We have a building for the church. We are going to be starting services there this Sunday, which will be May 15th. Pray that all goes well! The name of the mission will be San Juan Baptist Mission. We will be going this week and buying the flooring, chairs for the church, and finishing up things to get it ready for Sunday. We are very excited. There is a young man, named Theeter Simeon, that will be working with me. He has surrendered to the ministry and has a heart and burden for the people in this town. His dad is the pastor at the mission in Natonin that my dad, Bro. Duane Arender, had started. We are going to be using a jeepney every Sunday to go into the Santa Rosa community, which is only about 10 min. from where we are,  pick up people to bring them to church. Santa Rosa Community is where the school ministry and feeding program are.

Laken, Lauren, and Laci are adjusting well. We enrolled them in school this past week. They will be attending LUBBA. The school is a part of Bible Baptist Church in San Fernando. They will be on the PACES program. Angie and I really prayed about what to do about their schooling and we felt that the Lord leading us to do this. We want our children to be around the Filipino children. They have a ministry all there on. They can reach young people as to where we can't. Also, We found out that we are going to be having another little girl. Four girls? I need all the prayer I can get!!! We are very excited! The baby is very healthy and is growing. However, Angie has Placenta Previa, so the Dr. is making her take it easy. So please keep her in your prayers.

Also, Mom and I went up to Natonin, Mt. Province, to do a VBS for the mission that the ministry has up there. It was a great trip! I got to experience a whole new way of life. The people up there live so simple but are so happy. It was an eye opener for me cause it is very hard living up there. We had a great turn out for the VBS and I also got the opportunity to preach both services that Sunday. Please continue to pray for us as we labor here on the field doing the work of the Lord. We love you all and thank you all so much for your prayers and support!

Love in Christ,

Justin, Angie, Laken, Lauren, and Laci Arender
