UPDATE: Laina

Dear Pastors and Churches,

This is an update on our little girl, Laina. She is home from the hospital now. We just pray that The LORD continues to strengthen her! We just want to thank everyone for the prayers, support and love offerings. They have been a major blessing and a huge help! We give God all honour, glory, and praise for His healing hand upon her. Through all this we have been able to share the gospel with the Doctor's and nurses at the hospital. They called her a little miracle baby and we would tell them that she is in God's hands and that there are people all over the world praying for her and that God was going to take care of her. They agreed! They couldn't get over how well she progressed! We want to thank you all again for everything and we love each and everyone of you! GOD BLESS!!!

UPDATE ON LAINA

Dear Pastor and Churches,

God is doing GREAT things here in the Philippines!!!! I am sending this email to give you all an update on Laina, our daughter that was born 5 weeks premature. She is still in the hospital. They have lowered her oxygen down to 28% as of this morning and they are going to try to start feeding her some with the bottle. She is completely off the ventilator! They took her off that Tuesday morning. I want to thank everyone for your prayers!!!! MAY GOD AND GOD ONLY GET THE GLORY for healing her body!!!! Please continue to pray that she will continue to get stronger cause we are not out of the woods yet, even though she has improved so much!!! The hospital here in the Philippines does not take insurance and we have to pay in full to get her out of the hospital. Please pray that God will take care of this financial need also! I will continue to keep you all updated! PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY!!!! If you have any questions please email or call!!!!

April Newsletter

Justin and Angie Arender-Missionaries to the Philippines

Pastor and Churches,

It seems like we are getting settled on in. The month of April we have had 6 more professions of faith as we have gone out soul winning. That makes 14 altogether that we have had since we have been here since March. We have a building for the church. We are going to be starting services there this Sunday, which will be May 15th. Pray that all goes well! The name of the mission will be San Juan Baptist Mission. We will be going this week and buying the flooring, chairs for the church, and finishing up things to get it ready for Sunday. We are very excited. There is a young man, named Theeter Simeon, that will be working with me. He has surrendered to the ministry and has a heart and burden for the people in this town. His dad is the pastor at the mission in Natonin that my dad, Bro. Duane Arender, had started. We are going to be using a jeepney every Sunday to go into the Santa Rosa community, which is only about 10 min. from where we are,  pick up people to bring them to church. Santa Rosa Community is where the school ministry and feeding program are.

Laken, Lauren, and Laci are adjusting well. We enrolled them in school this past week. They will be attending LUBBA. The school is a part of Bible Baptist Church in San Fernando. They will be on the PACES program. Angie and I really prayed about what to do about their schooling and we felt that the Lord leading us to do this. We want our children to be around the Filipino children. They have a ministry all there on. They can reach young people as to where we can't. Also, We found out that we are going to be having another little girl. Four girls? I need all the prayer I can get!!! We are very excited! The baby is very healthy and is growing. However, Angie has Placenta Previa, so the Dr. is making her take it easy. So please keep her in your prayers.

Also, Mom and I went up to Natonin, Mt. Province, to do a VBS for the mission that the ministry has up there. It was a great trip! I got to experience a whole new way of life. The people up there live so simple but are so happy. It was an eye opener for me cause it is very hard living up there. We had a great turn out for the VBS and I also got the opportunity to preach both services that Sunday. Please continue to pray for us as we labor here on the field doing the work of the Lord. We love you all and thank you all so much for your prayers and support!

Love in Christ,

March Newsletter

Justin and Angie Arender - Missionaries to the Philippines

March 24, 2011

Dear Pastor and Churches,

This is our first newsletter on the field in the Philippines. It is so wonderful to finally be here! We arrived on March 16th. Bro Don Disotell and Mrs. Roslyn Disotell came with us to help us with the move. Bro. Don is the pastor at Bible Baptist Church in Krotz Springs, LA. They were both such a blessing and huge help to us. We are so thankful that the Lord laid upon their hearts to help us.

We are on the main island of Luzon in the town of San Juan in the La Union province. My family and I are getting settled. We are living with my mom, Mrs. Diane Arender, while we look for a house. We are praying that we will start learning the language in a few weeks. Laken, Lauren, and Laci are already adjusting very well. Although, we are all still trying to get used to this heat.

We were able to get out some and show the Disotells some of the areas where we will be ministering. Bro. Don, myself, and some other men in the ministry went out in the Santa Rosa community, where we plan on starting our first mission, passing out tracks and telling people about Jesus. Eight people got saved. That was such a blessing for us and that has made us even more anxious to get started doing the Lord's work here in the Philippines.

Please continue to pray for us as we do the Lord's work here in the Philippines and thank your for your support. Our Address and Phone numbers are:

December/January Newsletter

Justin and Angie Arender – Missionaries to the Philippines

Dear Pastor and Churches,

We had a great Christmas and New Year. We pray that you all had the same. Our time on deputation is coming to an end quickly. We will be leaving around March 15, 2011 on our way to Philippines. It is a very exciting time for our family but also a very nervous time. We have 64% of our support raised so far. We pray that the Lord will allow the rest to come in. We have enough faith to know that He will provide. We are booked up until about a week and a half before we leave. We are getting things ready and prepared as we go. There have been several churches that have sent money in to help with our plane tickets and we thank you! We now have enough money to purchase them!

All of this energy that children have is really catching up with our girls. Laken, Lauren, and Laci have done so well on deputation to be so young and full of energy, but all the sitting and riding they have had to do over the past year and are continuing to have to do is starting to catch up with them! They are ready to get to the Philippines themselves! We also found out this month of January that we are expecting our fourth child. We are really excited! This one will be born in the Philippines and we are praying for a healthy baby! My wife, Angie, however is praying for a healthy baby boy!

The next newsletter that you will be receiving from us will be when we are on the field in March. Thank you all so much for your support not only financially but prayerfully! Please continue to keep us in your prayers! We love you all!

In Christ,

Justin and Angie Arender
